As usual, we spent the 4th of July enjoying the wonderful sunshine at Benson Lake. Our friends, Carol and Dustin, came up for the day to eat, swim, and hang out. We ate LOTS of good food.
This year we finally decided (spontaneously) to join in on the Benson Lake boat parade. We found that our decorations were lacking, but it was still a good time.
The fireworks were spectacular and, as they have every year, the boys slept on our laps through most of them. How anyone can sleep through huge explosions is beyond me. We had a good time though and can’t wait to come back next year.
