We started the day out by heading to visit some more family in Alabama and Tennessee.
Then for lunch we met a huge group of family at Stan’s Diner off of Interstate 65. It was great to see everyone.
After that we headed out to Davie Crockett Park with Aunt Oneida, Uncle Matt, and baby cousin Hannah to watch the geese.
Finally, we went to Green Valley General Store in Bodenham, TN. It’s owned by John’s Aunt and Uncle. They have an interesting collection of rusted, cool, old tools and tractor parts. Orion and Ollie enjoyed playing around the store and making rock piles.
It’s hot and muggy here. It’s amazing how quickly you can break a sweat just standing around outside. But, thankfully air-conditioning is everywhere.
Tonight is our last night at the cabin in Joe Wheeler State Park. Next we move back up to Nashville to stay with Aunt Dorris again.
