We spent the morning going to Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island. We drove by our old house on Bainbridge and told Orion that he used to live there. He has no memory of it.
Then we took the ferry boat across to Seattle. As we were sitting in the booth on the ferry we got a call from Aunt Oneida and Uncle Matt that Orion and Ollie have a new baby cousin.
We are so excited to welcome to the world little Hannah June. What a blessing from God! Orion was very excited to hear about his new (and only) cousin. Mommy and Daddy were even more excited to become an Aunt and Uncle.
We will always remember where we were when we heard the good news. We were on the ferry watching the coast guard race along side us and listening to some dude play “Puff The Magic Dragon” on an acoustic guitar behind us. A strange but memorable way to hear such joyous news.
After the ferry ride we went to the Pike Place Market and then to Grandma and Grandpa’s in Bellevue for dinner. It was a long but nice family day.
