We started out the day with Grandpa driving around. We drove out to a Mennonite store and bought some ginger candy and other goodies. Then we drove around the Amish community too and bought some sorghum and hominy.
Orion started getting a little tired of being in the car and needed to burn off some energy so we went to Davie Crockett park and let him play on the slides. It had rained earlier so things were a bit wet but he didn’t mind.
We then headed over to Aunt Maggie & Uncle Carthol’s for a family gathering/supper. We had ham, hominy, corn,…etc. The traditional southern selections. It was excellent!
We all played some games of rook and enjoyed visiting. Cousin Deanna brought her newborn, Madeline Rebeca. She was quarantined from us all since we had colds and stuff. But we saw Madeline from afar and she’s a little angel.
Here’s a picture of Grandpa, Orion, Daddy, Mommy (me), Aunt Oneida, and Uncle Matt.
