Today was monumental. Not only was it the first day of school but it was Orion's first day at a new school, Pioneer Elementary. And school started on 9/9/09 at 9:00AM! Whoa...freaky!

Because Orion has one of those late summer birthdays we decided to repeat kindergarten so he wouldn't be the youngest in his class. But this year he is at a different school and is doing all day instead of half day. So to him, it's all different enough that he doesn't seem let down by being in kindergarten another year.

He was all smiles this morning as we headed out as a family to drop him off at school. Once we arrived he seemed to blend in very well and even started introducing himself to other kids. We have great hopes for a new and exciting school year.
